...would it be hypocritical to join Facebook now, after my last post?
(Considering that my parents just gave me permission, and my dad just joined?!)
[Update: after 4 hours on Facebook, I de-activated my account. I seriously couldn't stand it...]

Oh, Facebook is both fun and a legitimate way to stay in touch, especially with people you don't see that often. It is a great conversation starter even at church. My husband, an introvert, has used information he learnt about someone during the week from their Facebook status to initiate conversations! You just have to keep a lid on the time wasting and other weird bits. We've gained supporters and people have prayed for us, just because of Facebook. Not bad, huh?
Oh, no...not bad at all. I have no quibbles with anything you said.
I just personally can't stand it. I think it's a bit too "here and there" for me - we've got walls over here, and videos and pictures over there... I'd rather just interact either in "real life" or with the old-fashioned blog comment. :)
(But, if you haven't already, add my mum and dad...I'll participate in a sort of semi-vicarious manner...)
Oh dear Anika, you amuse me very greatly... *grins*
lol
I am constantly debating joining, too, just as I constantly debate cutting my hair. If you continue to hold out, it makes it easier for me to hold out, too. That way there are at least 2 of us and we can balance each other out in global terms.
...and on the opposite side, the longer you hold out on cutting your hair, the longer I can hold out!
You see, she has to decide if she is going to have me simply cut off her hair straight across or if she will go somewhere and have it styled... *grins*
It's simple enough for me (haircutting)... I will have a bunch hacked off when it is annoying me too much.
Tried Facebook again. For the first 20 minutes: 'Why was I so concerned?'
Then the crushing feelings of despair and guilt came.
(I can't explain it, so I'm not going to. All I know is I feel horrible. And as Facebook is a thing of liberty, I'm jolly well not going to experience horror for it's sake.)
